April...at Work

Wondering what I've been up to lately?? Here are a few pics from my projects at work preping for Christmas...

Still a work in progress and this isn't even the half of it!!

It's been a busy few weeks!!

Showers and Weddings have kept us pretty busy the last couple of weeks...haven't done much to the house... Although, I have worked on clearing the extra bedroom to turn it into the baby's room and having been planning options for a boy or a girl to get a head start. Good news, I'll have a 20 week ultrasound and we should know which it will be on or around November 11th!!

What a week!!

This week had several exciting events!! Our window is finally fixed and.....we spread the news about Baby #2!! After a great appointment at 10 weeks 3 days, we felt we could spread the word after getting a wonderful strong heartbeat!! I haven't felt too bad, just every once and a while and this pregnancy so far seems to be very simaler to Brye. I have been wanting food full of strong flavor...seafood, chips and salsa, of course pickles...really anything with a little spice. With Brye, I wanted pancakes all of the time, so that is a little different. Tomorrow (Monday, Sept. 6) I will be 11 weeks. Almost done with the 1st trimester!! Needless to say, part of our house projects will be getting ready for baby. I've started cleaning out closets and the extra bedroom and I really want to be better organized and not have so much "old junk" around.

Here is the little one at 6 weeks 3 days (The wrong date is on the picture, she printed before changing the date.) This was my third ultrasound and where we first saw the heartbeat and confirmed the pregnancy and due date -which will be March 28, 2011.



And my 10 week 3 day belly. I'm starting to really poke out from my normal self.

New Sofa?? For Free?? I'll take it!!

Lucky us...we got a free sofa!! My friend from work was moving and couldn't take it with her, so she offered it to me! I rearranged the whole living room and I think it turned out great. I should've taken some before pics but I snapped a few "in the process" pics and several views from the new arrangement. We have so much more seating now too. I still need to update some areas with accessories and maybe shift a couple of things and possibly lower a picture or two on the wall...but I am satisfied for now!!

We are very happy with it...now just need to decorate for fall!! On another note...they measured the glass for the window on Tuesday and they are susposed to install it tomorrow! Yea!!

which has been there since right before last Christmas due to the hubs knocking on the window to get Brye's attention. It has been this way ever since and for whatever reason we just haven't taken the time to make the phone call to the glass place. I guess we thought it was going to be expensive...I don't know...bottom line we just haven't taken care of it. The MIL mentioned that we might be surprised how easy it is to get it fixed and of course she was right. I've thought about those words ever since (maybe about a month) and took the leap and made the phone call and got a quote. Not too bad...$88 for someone to come and fix it and for me not to worry about it any more. I'll take it!! Mark then made the appointment so after almost a year the lovely hole gets fixed on Tuesday. Yea!!

Welcome to my Home...

....which is a constant work in progress!! But I love working on it when I have the time (and the funds). I change my mind all of the time on certain areas so I have a lot of "half-done" spaces. It is my goal now to finish some of these and also "fix" the "broken" areas (I'll post pictures) hopefully sooner than later!! Currently I'm working on several spots - the kitchen (repainting walls and cabinets) - the closets (cleaning out clothes and making space) - the extra bedroom (lets just say cleaning it out for moment) - and the hall bathroom ( adding a few finishing touches and eventually giving it a fresh coat of paint). All of this while working full time at a home decor store (where I get much of my inspiration) and being a wife and mommy to a 3 1/2 year old (and mom to our puppa and crazy cat). Through a few weddings and the holiday season in there (which is busy time at the store) and the result is ...... we've got a lot goin' on!! Hope you'll keep up on the progress as I'm hoping this blog will inspire me to get it all done...eventually ;)
